Transit Systems unveils new double decker buses

Sydney commuters will be seeing double this month, as Transit Systems launches two brand new double deck buses into service, catering to increased patronage growth in the Transport for NSW Contract 3 region.

These are the first of six new double deck buses, funded by the NSW Government, with the remainder of the new fleet to be delivered progressively over the next few months.

Double Deck Buses Introduced on Route T80


From Monday 9 October new double deck vehicles will commence operation on route T80. The vehicles are designed and built in Australia by Bustech, and provide low-floor access for those with limited mobility, and a seating capacity for 97 customers. We hope you enjoy using these vehicles and get the chance to use the upper deck, enjoying the views as you travel along the Transitway in comfort.

Coinciding with the double deck launch, additional weekday trips will also be introduced operating to Parramatta from Bonnyrigg at 06:17, 08:09 & 08:19. Also, trips in the evening from Parramatta at 17:23, 17:53, 18:08.

School Bus Changes - Commencing 13 June 2017

Following consultation on changes to local school bus routes, Transit Systems will commence operating the revised services from Tuesday 13 June 2017.

The changes will better align capacity with demand and provide additional capacity to schools where services are regularly crowded.  If you use one of the services shown below please view the relevant School Travel Advice Sheet displayed in the TIMETABLES section of this website.

Route 801- Temporary Diversion (from Monday 1st May 2017)

Due to an incident on Cuthel Road (Badgerys Creek) services on route 801 are temporarily unable to operate via Martin, Cuthel, and Lawson Road’s.

Buses will continue to operate between Badgerys Creek and Liverpool, servicing all stops along Elizabeth Drive.  Liverpool City Council are currently unable to confirm how long this road closure may be in place.
