Shirts speak for kids charity, as Torrens Transit goes loud for a cause

Hundreds of Torrens Transit drivers swapped their everyday uniforms for vibrant and eye-popping shirts, for the annual Loud Shirt Day (18 October). The initiative is set to add a burst of colour to bus rides across Adelaide, all in support of Can:Do 4Kids - a charity that provides essential support for deaf and hearing-impaired children.

From vibrant tropical prints to retro neon styles, passengers are in for a one-of-a-kind, fun-filled bus ride while supporting a great cause. The Torrens Transit team aims to raise funds and awareness for Can:Do 4Kids, making a meaningful impact on the lives of these children.

Andrew Jenkinson, Managing Director of Torrens Transit, says, “Loud Shirt Day is about making some noise visually and raising money for Can:Do 4Kids. We are excited to have our drivers bring a smile to our passengers.”

“This year marks the 11th year that Torrens Transit has proudly supported this event and we are committed to making an even bigger impact. It’s also an opportunity to encourage more people to jump on board and join in the colourful fun while making a real difference.”

Torrens Transit Trainer, Matthew Norton, is excited to take part in Loud Shirt Day, a long-standing tradition at the company.

“I’m thrilled to be part of this fun and meaningful event! I hope my loud shirt helps spread awareness for Can:Do 4Kids and brings a smile to our customers’ faces.”

Mr Jenkinson said every dollar raised for Can:Do 4Kids helps provide vital services that empower children to live their best lives.
