Patrick Wins Gold at WorldSkills Australia Regional Competition
Transit Systems is proud to celebrate the success of Patrick Jutrisa, who claimed the gold medal at the WorldSkills Australia Regional Competition in the Auto Electrical category. Patrick is an Apprentice Auto Electrician at our Leichhardt Bus Depot and this remarkable achievement sets him on a path to compete at the National WorldSkills Competition in Brisbane in 2025.
The WorldSkills competition challenged participants across critical industry skills, including component testing, wiring diagram interpretation, vehicle lighting systems, and advanced fault diagnosis. These technical competencies are essential in delivering operational excellence.
Patrick’s success is a testament to the hard work, talent, and dedication driving our team daily. As a company, we place immense value on developing technical skills and nurturing the next generation of industry professionals. His achievement highlights our focus on both operational excellence and investing in the growth of our workforce.
As Patrick prepares for the national competition, he will attend a state training camp hosted by TAFE NSW in Wollongong.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to TAFE NSW Ultimo and the esteemed judges, Phillip Cuomo, Les Simpson, and Paul Goring, for their unwavering dedication and for making this competition a resounding success. Their commitment provided an invaluable platform for emerging talent like Patrick to shine.
