NOW MORE THAN EVER #NRW2024

Transit Systems NSW proudly hosted a Traditional Smoking Ceremony and Acknowledgement of Country as part of our hashtag#NRW2024 celebrations. The event was a meaningful step in honouring the traditional custodians of the land on which our depot stands.

In line with our commitment to reconciliation, we unveiled naming plaques at all of our new depots, including Bankstown, South Granville, Bradbury, Macquarie Fields, and Smeaton Grange. These plaques serve as a constant reminder of the traditional custodians of the land on which our depots are built, paying tribute to their enduring connection to the land. They now stand prominently alongside those already in place at our existing Sydney depots, affixed during hashtag#NRW2022

We extend a heartfelt thank you to Josh and Darren from Muggera for performing the smoking ceremony at our Smeaton Grange Depot. This marks an important chapter in our journey towards a more inclusive and respectful future.
